The wilderbeest unit has a double bed and a single bed, the Bush Baby unit has two single beds and the zebra unit facilitates a double bed. All units have on suite bathrooms.
Bath and pool towels are provided, games and books are freely available for your convenience.
There is a central fully equipped kitchen for self-catering with a stove, fridge-freezer, deep freeze, microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery and crockery, and a tumble dryer. The dining area has seating space for 8 people. There is a swimming pool and kiddies' play area.
There is a built in round fire pit and a braai area. Firewood may be purchased from the camp manager.
Mapita is situated on an 80-hectare game park, where walking trails and bike rides are welcome. Exploring the bush on foot or by bicycle can be rewarding, offering chance encounters with a variety of wildlife.
We have no predators on the premises of Mapita Lodge however, don't loose your guard, Leopards tend to traverse through our park to access other conservancies in the area.
We border game reserves that accommodate frequent sightings of Elephant, Rhino, Leopard, Buffalo and Hippo. We also accommodate a very large selection of bird life species. Bring your binoculars and your camera's.
We offer a PRIVATE GRASS AIRSTRIP for our guests. If you'd like to fly in, please coordinate with us.
However, keep in mind that completing and sending an indemnity form is mandatory before using our airstrip.
